Overview

On June 10, 2024, a project permit was issued to Fortis BC to carry out improvements to an existing barge landing located on the east bank at the head of Indian Arm, British Columbia on federal lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. 
 
The project was approved subject to 45 permit conditions the applicant must meet to ensure the project does not result in any significant adverse environmental effects. Please see the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry for the Notice of Intent and Notice of Decision. 
 
About the project 
Improvements to an existing barge landing site at the head of Indian Arm of Burrard Inlet. The improvements would include expansion of a truck turn around area and upgrades to the existing barge ramp.
