In April 2024, Envirochem Service Incorporated submitted a project permit application to develop Maintenance Dredging located at 8081 River Road , in Delta, British Columbia on federal lands and waters managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority.
As part of the Project and Environmental Review for the proposed project under the Impact Assessment Act, the proposed project was posted on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry with an opportunity for public comment between July 29 and August 27, 2024.
About the project
Envirochem Service Incorporated (the Applicant) is proposing to complete maintenance dredging at 8081 River Road (the Project) in Delta. The Project consists of maintenance dredging within an identical historical polygon of 2500 cubic meters to a design depth of -6.5 meters chart datum. Dredging to be completed using a clamshell and flat or dump scows which would be towed to Point Grey Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) Disposal at Sea disposal site under permit. The total volume of dredged material to be less than 4000 cubic meters.
