In our role as a Canada Port Authority, we work to ensure the Port of Vancouver is prepared to handle the growing demand for Canadian trade. One of the ways we do this is by collaborating with local municipalities, the provincial and federal governments, First Nations, and industry stakeholders to identify, plan, and deliver trade-enabling infrastructure projects at the port and throughout the Greater Vancouver region.

Our infrastructure development work focuses on:

  • Making the best and most efficient use of our existing lands and facilities
  • Building infrastructure to support port operations
  • Improving rail and trucking corridors
  • Constructing marine habitats to offset the environmental impacts of port development
